Whats the big deal with 'the I can turn polar bears white' riddle? Why is it so popular? Who made that up? There was like 100 aanswerrs in that question.

It was a big deal because it seemed so simple, yet so hard. Kindergardeners guessed it but college students couldn't? It made people think. That was the big deal. Oh and by the way... the answer to it is no...

The last line in the riddle is
Can you guess the answer? or something similar to that.
5 and 6 year olds are more likely to say no.
People read into that way too much

I think, now this is my own opinion, it was so popular b/c the riddle was a couple of stanzas long and the answer was so simple
