Is a tattoo on your ribcage painful?

I was wondering, if getting a tattoo onn yur ribcage is going to hurt a lot. because me, and my girlfriend want to get tattoos, but dont want anybody to see it. is it painful to get it on yur ribs, like right under yur stertum or what?

YEAH!! ribs in the most painful spot... the more bones/thinner the skin the more it will hurt. the back of your leg or your side, stomache, arms, those shouldn't hurt to bad. spine and face and ribs and hands and feet... lots of ands, lol are the worst places.
I wouldn't get a tattoo with your girlfriend. what if you break up? and DO NOT WHATEVER YOU DO GET HER NAME!! that never goes well in the end... but who am I to talk? I don't know you. good luck!
