Does it hurt when you get a tattoo on your wrist?

Does it hurt when you get a tattoo on your wrist, because I want one but I dont know if it will hurt or not. And what would be a good tat to put on your wrist?

I have one on the part between on thumb and my other finger. Its a heard design with little star type shapes around it. Its super cute, I love it and get complimented on it all the time. It didn't hurt for me, but it depends on your pain tolerance. I have 7 other tattoos so its something I'm kind of used to.

Well I just got my second tattoo today on my wrist, its my sign 'Aquarius'. The tattooist goes over the tat 3 times. The very first time he goes over the drawing for the outline it doesn't hurt, or at least to me. The second time the tattooist goes over it, it only stings a bit, quite like a hot scratch. And the 3rd time is the color. You maybe wouldn't want coloring on your tattoo but if you do, I must advice that it has a little more pain to it, but not a lot that you wouldn't be to bear...well I hope that helps a bit...and you probably wouldn't like my suggestions but I think a star, or your zodiac sign, or chinese symbols would be great tats for the wrist.

I dont remember it hurting that bad, but my friend swears I was going to break his hand with my squeezing... it does hurt, but its not unbearable...

How old do you have to be whenever you get a tatoo?

Fear of pain should not be the reason you don't get a tattoo. If you really, really want one, go for it! I have words across both my wrists (I think text looks great on your wrists), and they didn't hurt worse than my other tattoos. It psyched me out, though, that they were going over my veins. So, basically, it stings, there's a mental component to it, and you should do it!
