Did part of my tampon break off inside me?

im on my period but I've been pretty dry and yesterday I took out my tampon and it looked like only half of it came out?? or like part was still up there? you know what I mean, like when you rip cotton , what it looks like..lol thats what the top...

looked like. I dk if this is bad ? iis it possible that it was just shorter then I thought?? I t old my mom and she said it should just fall out or start to stink..lol I dk what to do help :]

You need to reduce your tampon size according to your flow. What has happened is that you're worn one too big for your blood flow and a bit of it has unravelled. The best option is to insert your fingers and try to remove any excess cotton. There won't be alot left if any but best to remove it. Don't let this put you off using tampons, just buy smaller ones for the latter half of your period. Its happened to me and many other women, so don't worry.
