Fix a swollen lip from a piercing?

I got my lip pierced around 3/4 weeks ago and it’s still swollen. I have concluded that it isn’t infected as it is not oozing, red or painful, I have just noticed that it is harder to get my spike to go through it, as opposed to my other lip piercing.

it should NOT be swolen, at all the swelling should have went down after 3 days of getting it done so it hasnt healed yet however you said that its harder to get in which sounds like youve taken it out or tried to change it something you shouldnt do untill youve had it in for at least 3 months because it needs that time to heal so if youve taken it out before 3 months, youve prolonged its healing time and aggrivated the area so it swelled up just leave it in and dont take it out for another 3 months

swelling can last for up to a week and a half any longer then you should go back to your piercer, if its not you, and ask them to check it out, the swelling should start to have reduced by the 5th day and soon after your lip should be back to normal completely in about 2 weeks at most, but still doesnt mean that it is healed. although depending on your body and how fast you heal, you can switch jewelry, its not reccommended because it may get infected or irritated by the new jewelry. I’ve changed my jewelry days after the peircing only because I somehow seemed to lose it almost every other day, till I ran out of back ups and went a day and a half without one, tried to put an earing back in but the inside of my lip already began to close, I pushed an earing thru just so I could get to a nearby store (because I had traveled out of state) but could not find any, so I left it out the entire trip (10 day) and by the time I got a new earing about 15 days later, it wasnt appearant that I had even peirced my lip in the first place lol, it was completely healed and closed, just peirced it again and it was swollen, red and throbbing from the bar sticking inside of my lip completely swallowing the bar and the flat back, I changed it to a hoop today about 4 days later and already the redness and pain is subsiding.
