Sunburn, any remedys?

Shark Atack Asked by funadvice 4 months ago, 4 answers.

I was at the beach yesterday and I put sunblock on but I guess I didn't put enough on my shoulder. Well now I have a sunburn on my shoulders. And it burns really bad. Any suggestions on how to calm the burning?

Use a soft cool cloth or compress and let it sit on your shoulder to help alleviate the burn.

You can try an after burn spray like solarcaine or Aloe Vera, but don't add any creams until after the burning has dissipated - creams hold the heat in, causing more damage.

I've used sugarless iced tea on mine.

ice. (not dry ice - please) just take cold water and ice and put in on your shoulders to ease the pain.

ibuprofen will also help for the ache. and then get some aloe vera cream and apply it regularly to your skin.

just take a cold wash cloth and set it on there. it will feel really cold at first, but it will take some of the heat out of the burn!! good luck!
