Actually the Sun does move. Our entire galaxy is rotating about once every 220 to 225 million years. The Sun is also in motion within its local group of stars. Galaxies are also in motion relative to each other and the cosmos has been expanding ever since the big bang.

In space everything is in motion; nothing if fixed.

yeah, the sun doesn't move, the earth and other planets revolve around the sun, causing it to LOOK like its going up and down, when it really isn't moving at all. :D

The sun rotates.
The sun (and the entire solar system) orbits the galactic center of the Milky Way.

And of course the Milky Way Galaxy itself moves through the Universe.

the sun doesnt rotate or orbit it is gliding along with the galaxy because the gravitational impact from the BIG BANG is still affecting our expanding universe but I predict th sun moves along with everything else in the glxy perhaps to the east about .7348023 millimeters every billion years its just random numbers and a reealli good guess hehe!
