Who else thinks rap has gone downhill?

Am I the only one who thinks rap has gone downhill?

It was never good in the first place..
The only rappers I can stand are

-Hilltop Hoods
-Timberland
-Gym Class Heroes
-does Justin TImberlake count?
&&
-Some eminem stuff.

Yea, rap has gone kinda downhill...
I mean, the kind that's all over mtv. they're pretty good songs, but they pretty much sound the same.

I've always hated rap!! I only lke usher and nelly!!

I hate rap!
Reason being, I like music that actually takes talent.
Anyone could rap if they wanted to, but seriously... doesn't sound exciting to me.
Rap doesn't take talent at all in my opinion.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Rap was good back in the day (Run DMC for life), not that anyone who says that it never was would know, as you've obviously never listened to any good rap. On top of that, the 'only rappers you can stand' all suck. Probably 98% of all rap nowadays sucks. But there's hope:

rap today is not for older people its mostly for kids or teens I should say. rap does consist of talent, all of you guys who said it doesnt let me hear you rap and make sense. when you listen to most raps its about what has happened in there past, most people who listen to rap can relate to the events in which the rapper is talking about.

Rap is basically about sex appeal, women, drugs, and gangsters.

Usher and Justin Timberlake are not hip-hop artists. He is an R&B artist. For those who say rap has no talent. I dare you to come up with a rap song and a good beat. And it better be a rap that means something. Not some stupid crap like some rap artists are doing today.

rap is doesn't have real rappers its good right now but all these new rappers rap about the easily thing and that's money, drugs, and sex but back in the day every rapper was real especially 2Pac

I agree with the person who said rap is for kids. Its sad to say that considering the content of most rap albums but that is who it is for. Rap is starting to sicken me with its fantasy rhymes. Maybe one day it will change.

rap has def gone downhill by far. There are good underground rappers like Immortal Technique who is actaully a smart guy. but I hate all that stuff that is on MTV
