God, The One, The Lord, The Creator of the universe, the Possessor and the Controller of everything. He is knowledgeable and Wise. He has beautiful names and perfect attributes : Most Gracious, Most powerful, Most Merciful, All Wise... He created the mankind to worship Him alone. He sent to us messengers to tell us about Him and the reason He has created us. He who has obeyed God and His messengers will be rewarded and go to paradise and he who disobeyed God and His messengers will be punished for sure.

It might help even if you specify which God. Are you talking about Zeus? The Flying Spaghetti Monster? One of the many Shinto Gods?

Here's a link to a wikipedia article about God to get you started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God

WHO IS GOD?
A very good question. There are a lot of different answers to this question. Some people say, There is no God. your answer to this question will determine how you treat other people and where you will spend eternity. Our belief about who God is will also determine whether we worship God or worship ourselves. If we love God then we will love people. We have three major religions in this world. They are opposite each other, therefore they cannot all be true!

Let me explain;

Christianity says, That God died for man.
Islam says, That man must die for God.
Hinduism says, That God is who you make him to be in your mind.
Christianity says, That God made man.

Islam = self worship
Hinduism = self worship
Christianity = God’s grace

By grace you are saved by faith and not of yourselves. See Ephesians 2:8. We all make mistakes. My worst mistake was rejecting Jesus Christ. My best decision was accepting Jesus Christ as my savior. Jesus asked Peter “Who do you say that I am?” Who do you say Jesus Christ is? See Matthew 16:16. How you answer the most important question in your life will determine your past, present and future life! Who do you say that He is?

God doesn't exist, therefor, there is no information anyone can give you about god. It's all just a bunch of mythology.

That said, if you're studying mythology at school, we really need to know which god you're referring to, since there are thousands of them. But if you're at a religious school, just tell us which religion it is.

~*~*specify which God* ...there is only one god.~*~
Hahahaha, as if

It's believed that an ancient Egyptian scholar fused all the gods and goddesses into one and thus created the one true god
However, evidence found in Crete(if I'm right) suggest romans started worshiping one god long before the Jews. The Highest, as found on an ancient statue in the ruins of a temple, Zeus. The one supreme ruler of all gods in Greek, and one of most significance.
Scholars believe that these may of help set the field for biblical religions(look in the bible and study Greek mythology, you'll see a lot of similarities, and even some references to Greek mythology).

Now getting to the biblical god himself*assuming that's what you mean)
All knowing, created EVERYTHING, including good and evil (“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” -Isaiah 45:7/ Lam3:38), yet has to test people to see if they go to heaven and hell, but he's all knowing. People claim he's all loving, look in the bible, he claims that he hates. He's a wrathful fiery, jealous god. The idea of an all loving god is quite contemporary and goes against the word ofthe bible, which is supposedly god's word, though to me it seems more like the word of sick men or even a devil.

***specify which God* ...there is only one god.***

1) You don't know that, and have no way of proving it
2) You didn't ask, so you don't know WHICH god its in reference to.
3) Shut up.

***We have three major religions in this world.***

Actually, there's FIVE...

***They are opposite each other, therefore they cannot all be true!***

They're just as likely to ALL be FALSE. And your sales-pitch against the religious competition is some of the most underhanded, ignorant, oversimplified babble that I've heard in a long time. You've made it quite clear that you know NOTHING about other religions, and very little about your own.

There is only 1 GOD, the GOD of all of us. Will you cant see him now but in the afterlife you will. GOD made us in this life for a reason and its to worship him. Want to know about GOD read the Holy Quran because its from GOD himself imagine his own words in a book telling you everything you want to know so you don't get misguided. GOD sees and hears everything and if you pursue after knowing GOD he will if he wanted so to lead you to the right path. My friend you got nothing to lose hope the best for you in knowing GOD.

PROVE it's from GOD first, THEN we'll read it. Until you do, you're just stating your BELIEFS as facts, which makes you WRONG by default.
