Stuck in illinois should i get out

Im really nervous about moving to ohio next year with the love of my life. Im getting different advices I really want to but the only promblem is telling my mom she would freak what do I do? (My mom goes along wit whatever my abusive stepdad says

Well...it's not like you're moving to Arizona, or California...Ohio isn't THAT far from Illinois...It's always hard for parents to let go...but look around you, the great majority of parents do let go...

Another thing...what we conjure up our minds, is usually never as bad as the reality...I think you'll do fine.

Get out I am stuck here too. I have a job and a family though hard for me to do. Just remember Ohio is still the midwest
