How to get rid of stretch marks?

Does any one know how to get rid of stretch marks? I have a few on my thighs...and it SUCKS!!!

I've heard vitamin E, or various lotions, ...
but from a doctor I've also heard they are permanent unless you get surgery. However, red stretch marks can be faded with laser treatment

I have the same problem. Just because I grew too fast. Don't bother with most products that you find at drug stores. Go to a professional instead.
