I think you can buy something to straighten it 'permanently' in the same area you buy the permanent stuff to add curl.
you could get it straightened permanently at a salon. also, a good way to straighten hair faster is to section section section. but honestly the flat iron is really what makes the difference. perhaps you can save up for a while to buy a CHI, which can be about 120 dollars.
4hrs is a long long time- I have GHD's in england they are £99. They take 30secs to heat up and your hair stays straight all day even the next day depending on how you sleep!
But definetly section the hair into strips and straighten them at least 3 times slowely downwards (never straighten it fast it will give you frizzy hair & it wont stay straight)
Always buy expensive straighteners from a salon as they are more likely to work! Do your research lol
Peace Out xx
do it in layers and maybe getting a thinning would help

How to straighten hair better and faster?
I happen to have some of the curliest, thickest, coarsest hair ever. I would love to straighten it without taking 4 hours to do it. I already have some medium quality irons, and prefer not to buy another. I also do not like to blow dry my hair, because it damages it and makes it very 'poofy', so I wait for it to dry naturally. Any advice on how to straighten my hair better and faster? Thanks!
