Stomach pain

Mario Lemieux favorite hockey player Asked by icehockeyguy 7 months ago, 5 answers.

Sometimes I get these terrible stomach pains. They usually come during the night while I am asleep. They are so bad that they wake me up, and I'm a very deep sleeper. Rarely they come in the day. When they do, they come suddenly. It almost feels as if my...

stomach is cramping. I think that maybe it will get better if I use the restroom. But that doesn't help. No kind of medicine helps either. I've been to the doctor but he doesn't know what it is. It helps to curl up and lay down. But that only helps for a few minutes. I don't know what it is and nobody can seem to figure it out. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks for helping. 8]
I don't think that's what it is though. It only happens once every 2 or 3 months. And it happens sometimes when I'm awake just sitting at school.
Thanks anyway though. happy

You have to start keeping a journal of what you eat -- and note the nights (and the exact times) you get the pains. I'm thinking you're sensitive to something you're eating. After a month, bring your notes back here and we'll try to figure out what it is!

I agree with the food journal. I've noticed something similar myself before, and it was when my diet was bad. Meaning junk / fast food type meals. I usually feel better the next day after eating some healthy fiber enriched foods.

Yeah, it could be junk, it could be coffee, chocolate, dairy products, wheat, beef...

Aside from junk, wheat and beef are quite up there when it comes to peoples digestive problems... it could be lactose intolerance, that hits many people in their teens. Could be a spice that is causing some sensitivity. I;m noticing that paprika is bad for me, whether I have it in the form of BBQ chips or in a stew, it causes huge stomach cramps.
