Still sad about my cat dying

My cat that I have had for my whole life (13 years) died last year. I was SO sad. I cried, and cried, and cried. But I still cry when I talk about Bear. He was so special to me. He was, like, my best friend. I want to remember him, but not be so sad....

Last week I found a poem I wrote about him. It made me cry. I showed my mom she cried too. Can you help me remember him, but not be sad?

The death of a beloved animal...family member is very difficult. Many people dont understand which can make it even harder sometimes. My heart goes out to you. I lost three of my cat last summer and I too am still finding it hard to deal with. One thing that I did that help was to plant a tree in the front yard in their honor. It's my kitty tree.
