And unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the bands you have listed...but, I think a musical tribute is a great idea for any reason at all 
My stepdad played music for years (still does, though not as much) and my younger brother mixes his own rap music - he has a few cd's he's put together, but nothing he's selling yet. Hopefully one day.
