Soy does not prevent pregnancy, but studies are being done about harmful side effects to growing fetuses. Some studies have shown that eating soy during pregnancy can cause fertility problems and sexual disfunction in offspring. Pregnancy = Say no to soy
Soy is an excellent source of protein. It can prevent things like cancer, osteoperosis, balding, risk of heart disease and reduce menopausal symptoms. But not pregnancy.
The consumption of soy foods during pregnancy and while breastfeeding is considered to be safe, but further studies are needed to demonstrate beyond any reasonable doubt that soy is safe during these life stages.
Genistein is in soy, which may be harmful to male fetuses in large doses during pregnancy. A study in mother rats found that baby male rats were somewhat de-masculinized.
Hopkins researchers stressed the findings do not indicate genistein has a similar effect in humans, but say they plan further research they hope will answer that question. MORE... http://preventdiseas...

Okay I work at a drug store and one of the young pharmacists told me that if you eat soy, you wont get pregnant, or its less likely you will. But honestly, how can that happen?
Two people already told me its true but can you please tell me the truth?
