Sophistication

How would I make my room more sophisticated? I am a 14 year old but I am more intellectually mature than most, and I don't know how to make my room less girly teenager and more sophisticated young adult. Any thoughts?

French/Shabby chic is the way to go. It's still girly and feminine, but also timeless and classy.

same well I started doing that the other night I got rid of the girly pink things and lil decorations and put up hotos and added a bit less bright colour..I still love the colours I have annd now it looks pretty gud!

for a step like that I would go with what I did. Matters what your favorite color. Do a really spectacular color on the wall have all the decor. be black white. It sophisticated but still sweet. yes ditch stuffed animals. I stuffed mine in my closet...im 15. haha My closet is kinda scary now. But anyways. get rid of decor like, Music Boxes lil Kitty Cats or whatever kiddy stuff you have. Also a final touch to a sophisticated room. add some dried roses.hanging upside down somewhere. I don't know why but it makes you seem older. =]

I just also did that this year and im 14. I painted my wall a deep and dark red. and no! its not emo. its kinda of a maroon color. and keep some bright stuff in your room but yes ditch stuffed animals.
