Can you give me advice on making new friends?

Hi there..

I am 18, I moved to spain with my boyfriend about 3 years ago..
I am starting to feel very unhappy..

I left all my family in england so im here pretty much by myself where he has his family just down the road so I feel kinda lonely..

didnt go to school out here its really hard to meet people my own age and as I dont have the money to be going to bars to meet new people.. so in all honesty I've got bout 3 friends out here..

I soo badly want a career working with african animals and yet I have no oppurtunites (in the education prospect as I cant go to uni out here because I am not spanish..)

could anyone give me any advice on making friends and making a go of a different country.

Try getting in touch with the British Embassy in Spain. Here is their website where you can look for an office close to you:

Maybe you can ask them if they have any social activities with other English nationals and locals that you can join. They also may be able to help you set up some sort of education plan, or advise you in the right direction.

Have you been keeping in touch with your family? Calls, emails, letters? You should.

find an English publication in your vicinity and place an advert in the personals ...
