Sony ericsson w810i keeps flashing.

Well a little while ago my brother plugged his w810i into the pc with a usb cable but something happend and now when ever you try to turn it on the screen just flashes black white. I've read about this happening to other people on the internet and...

apparently you need to flash your phone. But im not sure how to do it.
Has any one had a similar experience or do they know how to flash phones?

Also if I plug the phone into the computer with the usb cable nothing comes up so I don't see how I can put new software onto it?

if you want to fix it yourself take the battery out of the phone download the software for your phone (driver) connect the phone then leave it to run and connect the software to the software on your phone 2/3 hours later it will have connected just choose your phone on your computer menu and choose SOFTWARE PAIR and leave it to reinstall your phone software from the internet it will take 3/4 hours but in the end it is well worth it
