Song for audition?

Help me! I'm in desperate need for a idea for an audition song. I'm a soprano I'm trying out for solo ensamble at my school. I'm already in the top choir, but my choir director only picks 6 contestants to compete in state. I really want a great big song...

to show off my vocal range lots of vibrato. I either want a broadway song or a soft but amazing ballad. I was thinking of the song wishing you were somehow here again from the phantom of the opera. But any other suggestions? I have to have this by feb. 26th

I've seen quite a few auditions before. Loads of people try to choose a big one to start with, but most of them end up messing it up. My advice would be to begin with something simple to sing, which isn't a song that everyone will use. Playing your strengths is also something I'd suggest too. If you're better at higher notes, then you could go for something with high notes. And the same in reverse for lower notes.
