Someone help me??

So im attempting to do my own back to school shopping this year, (trying to prove im responsible) and after looking up stuff online it amounts to 250$

My issue is that my dad wont let me do anything. Im thirteen and child labor laws says that...

basically all I can do is odd jobs and babysitting, but my dad says I cant go into other peoples houses. So wtf?? Its not like hes going to be the one paying for it anyway (my aunt is the one that buys it for me like every year) and hes saying I cant do like anything!!!

Then he says I should fricking email the child labor laws people and ask them how I can get legalized to have a job at 13. As if theyll have time to reply before I turn 40!!! (and do they even have an email address???)

Try seeing if you can babysit at your house? Or mow peoples lawns..Talk to your dad explain that you want to try to be responsible. Do you get an allowance? If so save it. Ask if you can walk dogs around your neighborhood.

he said no to taking care of any other peoples animals because he thinks im not responsible. (then again, how the eff am I supposed to get responsible?)

your dad sounds like a jerk. sorry. do what you want to do, who says you have to obey the rules? if you dont want to do that...just talk to him, make him listen to you!
