try picking dfifferently. try different phrasing of the solos you may have been playin bluesy so long it is now part of your style but as with learning thaat you can learn to rock out too blues also uses a lot of hammer offs you know what I mean where as a rock soloist try to pick every note... get some steve morse music he can play any style and try to keep up...

Ok when I first learned guitar my teacher only taught me the blues scale, so I only did blues solos. now that I've learned other scales I can do them sorta fast but anything I do sounds blues! and I cant help it! I want to sound sorta hard rock thing but...
