What non-religious or joyously blasphemous yuletide stuff do you like to do?

I make anti-christmas cards for alll my friends, you know, to piss them off happy

I'm Buddhist, but the rest of my family is either Pagan or Christian, so we celebrate all the different holidays together as a family.

around this time of year, I say X-Mas. same thing, except shorter. I've been an atheist for a while now, ditching the other belief after a series of tragic events. anyway, what I do is: get all my friends together (they're atheists too) and we have a HUGE celebreation at my place. we still have the tradition of gift-giving, but we also have karaoke, a poker tournament, and other stuff. it's a lot mmore fun than the usual boring celebration.

I'm an atheist, and I still celebrate Christmas with my family. I dont see it as a religious holiday in our household, it's more of a time for families. We still enjoy santa clause, presents, christmas lights, christmas cards, candycanes, decoration, etc.

You can be atheist and still celebrate. You just have a different meaning behind it.

At christmas I try and look at as a celebration of a man (just a man) who started a movement that was based on peace, love, and brotherhood. I try to ignore the way that message has been coopted by various tyrants and maniacs over the last 2000 years, and is still being used to condemn non-believers as evil.

Christmas has thankfully become a much more a secular holiday today.

Well... since Xmas in the U.S. is a commercial holiday FIRST, a Pagan holiday SECOND, and all other religious stuff THIRD. I'm pretty sure commercialism accepts people of ALL beliefs...

Huh? Are you saying it takes a genius to understand the existance of god?

If Christians can celebrate Halloween, then atheists can celebrate Christmas and even Easter (plus Halloween of course). Any excuse to have fun, is a good excuse.

I agree with the people who say they still celebrate, only with a different meaning.
