I put new battterys on my 3 smoke alarms all rooms...why does it keep beeping...its green light

did you buy batteries from family dollar? you must take into account the time batteries spend on the shelf before they sell. maybe they are old or maybe they are in wrong,..9v's go in just one way and dubl-a's can go teter-totr
