Smelly ears

Asked by aal31 about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

My right ear has a foul odor. I can smell it while I'm sitting down or doing anything. It smells really bad. It also has drainage. Can someone tell me why?

You might possibly have an infection in your right ear. The best thing to do is see a doctor before it gets worse. Hope you feel better wink

Yep. Bad smell and drainage = ear infection.
GO TO A DOCTOR.

I have a lot of ear drainage and went to the doctor for it. My doctor said it's because of my narrow ear canals, water gets trapped in there, then slowly drains out. He told me to put cotton in my ears with a layer of vaseline over them when I get a shower. Wear ear plugs when I go swimming. Any time there's a lot of drainage he also said to use a hair dryer (on low) aimed at my ear to dry it out. The water would also smell because of being trapped for awhile (it kind of gets stale). If you have narrow ear canals and no pain then try this stuff, if it doesn't work then go see a doctor.

Good luck
