Girlfriend's mom called her a slut b/c she's dating me?

I dont even know how to start this, so ill just jump right in. about 10 min. ago my girlfriend informed me that her mother, yes her own mother, called her a slut because she is dating me. we havnt even explored eachothers bodies yet. I mean, we;ve only...

kissed. I love her, and I would never do anything like that to her, unless it what she absolutly wanted. as a matter of fact im possative she's still a virgin. then I find out her sisters agree with her mother. like the injustice of this whole thing, it just drives me out of my mind with rage! I love her so much, and to think her own mother would attack her like this, with no factual basis for her accusations. its just... god I cant even think of a word stong enough to describe how pissed off I am right now. and now im terrifyed that her family will hate her if she stays with me. like should we break up to save her from her own family.

I want to comfort her, but all I can think of right now is how im going murder her sister when I see her on monday. I have no idea what to say.

there probably just saying it because her mother especially might be extreemnly protective, and probably doesnt want her to be with anyone or might not like you
still, her calling her own daughter a slut is extremly stupid and disrespectful
no mother should say that to her own daughter
do your best to comfort her but also tell her that what her mother is saying is wrong, and she doesnt have any right to be swearing to her daughter like that
she should talk to soemone like her dad or another adult about whats happening too

shes a stronge girl... just be there as much as you can

Her mother wants control over her life period. Her mom has to realize from birth to adult she raises her until she is able to make decisions and fend for herself. Mom thinks that as long as she is ruler of the house hold she makes all decisions regardless of how old she is. She also may feel like you are taking her daughter away from her. Sit her down and explain you and her only want the best for her daughter. Let her know that you can never take her place regardless of what happens. Maybe she will see that you are no threat to her family.
