A vegetarian diet to become 'fat' would involve less protein and more carbs. This is very unhealthy though. Most vegetarians that become 'thin' are not eating alternate sources of protein such as eggs to supplement the lack of meat. You need about 3x as much tofu to equal the protein equivalent in meat. So if your meals are the same size after starting a veggie diet then you will lose weight. Sugar will of course do a good number to add fat as well.

Some people can't grow beards and some people can. It is a misnomer to state that all men can grow beards, because I know several men who can barely grow a mustache. Be happy you don't have to shave so much and learn to love yourself.
