I had the same problem. I always turn on the tv but turn it way down until you cant understand what is being said but can still hear it. also you just have to lay down and stay still. DONT LOOK AT YOUR CLOCK TO SEE WHAT TIME IT IS! it gives you somthing to think about.

I would suggest melatonin. It's an over the counter drug you can find at walgreens. It works naturally because it helps produce melatonin, a chemical which let's you sleep. I used to have sleeping problems and this really helped happy and another thing is that when you're laying down your brain gives you an urge to move or roll over if you respond to it and move your brain knows your still awake. That's where a lot of people with insomnia go wrong. Cause your brain doesn't know what your bodys doing and your body doesn't know what your brains doing. So just get really relaxed and relieve all the tension and get in a comfortable position, if you have the urge to move, just don't. Even if it's really hard. And like what frodo said, not looking at the clock can help too. Anyways I hope this helps and you can get some sleep happy

That's the problem you're thinking too much. You have to learn to just be still and quiet your mind.Start focusing on each breath you take.you'll notice that it's hard to think about things. You should do this everytime you are thinking about unnessary stuff.during the day anytime.Good luck!
