Sleep help

TANK!!! Asked by desperatlynervous 10 months ago, 3 answers.

Alright, so I've signed up for millitary co-op through my school. I get my basic millitary training and then soldiers qualification training. Then im a reservist. But part of the soldiers qualification is running around in the bush for 5 days/nights and...

im told that durring these five days ill only get 2-3hrs of sleep per day. Sleep is my weekness, how can I prepare for this? Sleep less in the days befor or sleep more in the days befor?

Having been through it, you might most work on quickly becoming alert when you're awakened - once you get it in you head, 'duty calls' you learn to 'snap to' or be alert within a minute or two - so when that alarm sounds to get up, you're ready for it...I wish you the best !!

I still remember, '0500 get up, get up, get up !!' - had to make bed, shave, dress, etc and be in line at attention in 5 minutes - no wonder I like to sleep late now, LOL !!

figure out what makes you stay awake/alert, like coffee for example, or practice when you wakeup to be quick and efficent and all that, practice makes perfect
