Sims 2 compatible?!

Ok so I bought The Sims Superstar expansion pack and The Sims Livin' It Up expansion pack for the PC today. I have Sims 2 and I'm already playing Sims 2 Pets on it. It came with my Sims 2 and I have no other expansion packs or Sims. My question is,are...

these expansion packs for Sims 1 or 2?! The people in the shop couldn't advise me because it was a toy shop and the graphics on the box didn't look very Sims 1 like!! Also don't tell me to test it on my computer because if I open the plastic around it then I can't return it!! I play Sims on Microsoft XP by the way and on the back of the box in fine print it says 'you must own The Sims or The Sims Deluxe Edition to play this Expansion Pack. This is a minimum specification your computer must meet to run The Sims Superstar.' ...I thought it meant Sims in general (obviously excluding the much advanced Sims 3) ...HELP!!

super star is for the first sims, I dont know about Livin' It up though

superstar is only for the sims 1. not 2 . cannot combine the sims packs.

both are for sims 1 I have both and they are for sims 1.
