my dog is being really grumpy and is starting to growl at the kids .how do I know if he is hurt or sick?

If it was my dog...and he was suddenly having a change of temperment, I'd take him to the vet to eliminate the possibility that it's a physical cause...If it's determined that he's sick, or has an injury, it can be dealt with...If it's determined that he's not ill or hurt, then you have to work on his emotions...WALKS...OBEDIENCE...PLAY...

A growling dog is a dog who's in the 'Warning Mode'...keep the kids away until you determine what the problem is...you don't want anyone to get bit...and hopefully, you DO want to keep your dog...Start out by going to the vet, Ok??
