Should we help you with every other social network out there?
So we get a lot of social networking related questions. Some get removed, some don't. For the record - our site has *never* raised money from third parties. We have listed our values on our about us page. We're not making millions of dollars (in fact,...
NONE of the co-founders of the site make a salary from this business).
And yet, people ask for help with say, facebook - which has raised more than $400 million dollars and has ZERO values - they're not trying to make the world a better place, they're trying to *make* money. Period.
So...if you ask about their products, in general, we'll delete the question, and tell you to ask them. Why? Because if they care about YOU, they'll help you. We do care, and we answer your questions
The staff, the co-founders, etc.
Myspace, as an example, is going to make nearly a billion dollars in revenue this year...and yet, people ask for help here, constantly, with myspace. Generally speaking, I think this is a bad thing.
What do you think? Should we allow these questions, or not?
