Should it really matter that i'm a lesbian?

Asked by michelle69 over 2 years ago, 5 answers.

ok I have like a lot of friends and I came out last year but some of them don't talk to me anymore even though I told them I didn't like them. What do I do? And then I have people that I do like but I don't know if they're bi/lesbian or not. So what do I...

do???

well, it really doesnt matter that u are a lesbian. if ur friends dont accept u for who u are then they are not ur real friends. and about the dating thing u can sometimes tell about a persons behavior to tell if they are bi or a lesbian. i dont no how but i can just tell its like a raidar lol.as u get older ppl will start to not care so much if u are lesbian or not.

if they were good friends they wouldn't care. maybe theyre scared that you would find them attractive but it doesnt mean that you would. theirs nothing wrong with being lesbian. you like what you like. and your brave to come out and tell people. i used to like girls and i kept it to myself. i was too scared. i have a boyfriend now though so i changed. i wish i could give you better advice but all i can say is try talking to people that you like and find out once you get to know them

it shouldn't matter to you're friends but SOME heterosexual people SOMETIMES think that if someone they know is gay they will automatically like them in that way (vain much!!) try putting it to then in a way that they will understand, say something like when you thought i was straight you didn't think i liked every male on the planet so why would that change just because i'm gay? so no it really shouldn't matter that you're a lesbian, and your friends should be happy that you were confortable enough to tell them, i think you are extremely brave for being able to come out to people

That's just rude of them. They should be happy with who you are. I know tons of gay/lesbian people, and I'm completely fine with it! They're my friends just as much as they where before.

You should just ignore them- find friends that like you for you happy
