Should we try this relationship?

Ok I have this guy friend and we've been friends for almost a year now. Ive told him I like him and he said that he just sees me as a friend.

Im 18 and hes 23 and I think its just the age difference thats making him hesitant because some of his actions...

say different and people who know both him and I say that they 100% think that he does like me.

My one friends who is also older than me said that next time he drives me home that when he goes to give me a hug that I should kiss him and see what he does.

Now Im wondering if I should go for this and who else has tried this I want to know ways this can backfire on me and if its major enough to change things between us.

I dont think that it could change things, because obviously there is a reason he is saying he likes you just as a friend. Guy friends can come off as they like you, but really they only like you as a friend. I wouldn't do it, you could embarrass yourself bad...
and that would suck considering it sounds like you have deep feelings for the guy. Instead maybe you should just try talking to him more, and maybe even hang out more.
Don't do anything you'll regret and get hurt over.
