I wouldn't be too concerned about what you might have lost. In fact, your cheerleading might have given you a bit of cross training advantage. Go back into gymnastics and if anyone asks just tell them you have decided to give it another 6 months to a year to see if you want to stay in it. Are you feeling pressured that this decision will radically alter your sport career? I hope not my dear, because your gymnastic skill will be usefull in ANYTHING you go into later on in life. It will always be an asset to you.
The muscles you have developed and the spacial awareness (as you do full in- full outs etc) will come to benefit you in so many ways. Even later on , if you choose to have children, the muscles you have developed will aid in that whole process. I know you aren't probably thinking about that now, but bottom line is, you won't have lost anything by being out a little, and you wont lose anything by NOT going back in.
Enjoy where you are in your life now.
omg gurlie if you have the chance to do it again you deff should you might not be on level 7 right away but trust me I was in gymnastic for omg I dont know how long probably about 8 years and I was on level 7 also well then it became way to expensive for our family you know like the meets and getting the suits for them and all that funn stuff so I had to quit and trust I wish everyday that I could do it again but the places that I want to go is wayyy to expensive and I have tried like cheapers places and umm well they were juss not as experienced as I like it soo yeaaa do it again
I hope I helped
give it ago. I stoped doing gym 3 years ago because I had a bad knee I was in level 9 and I regret nor going back and finishing my level 10 I am thinking of going back now after 3 years. it will take you a while to get bak into thing but you never forget what you learnt and I no this because I now coach to and trust me when you build up your stregth again it wasnt be to bad
if you REALLLYYY want to do gymnastics again, you should. because it takes a lot of commitment, and I think if you really want it, you should do it. even though you've been out for a year, your body still has some of that muscle memory, and PLUS you have been doing cheerleading so it shouldnt be that hard. I say, DO IT! GO 4 your DREAMS! WOOH!
