Should I settle before its too late?

A few months ago my friend jessie found out that she has cancer and was only given 2 years to live, she is only 16. I've been spending loads of time with her and the other week she told me her biggest regret in her life. She had an abortion when she was 14 because she didnt think she was old enough. Now she wishes she didnt because her one ambition in life was to have a child no matter how old she was and now shes realised she never can.if she had the baby it would be nerly 2 now.

Last week she went back to her doctor for a check up and saw that she was rapidly decreasing giving her a couple of months left at the very most. She's taught me that life is way too short and if theres something you want you should go for it when you can. All I want in life is a happy family . You never know how long you have left, so should I try and find the man for me and settle down as a family even though im still young.although I have finished school.

I dont want to miss out on what life has to offer because you dont know how long you have to do it.

I think you answered your own question. your friend has showed you to live your life to the fullest and if finding 'the man' and starting a family is your life goal than go for it. I wouldnt rush into it too quickly though. Think out each decision through along the way so you dont have any regrets.
