Should I sell my money making website? (It makes regular income)
I own a website that makes $200 + adsense income per month and sometimes extra income from affiliate sales. The site has been consistently growing. I have not worked on it since July...
because I got bored with it.
In the time that I haven't done any work I have made: $689 (Aug, Sept, and Oct up to today).
(NOTE: This does not include the money I made July and before when I was working on it. My point is whether I do anything or not it seems to be earning me $200 + per month)
My website expenses are around $25 per month. The site has around 440 unique visitors a day (highest 700ish) it has been growing steadily for a little while.
Though the traffic and income seem to have plateaued. I feel that with a little bit of attention this could grow to be quite lucrative income source. That is why I am not sure of whether to sell it or keep going.
This is the my first website I have ever made, and first attempt at making money online. I have spent A LOT of time working this even to the point that it is. I have a bit of an emotional attachment because of this also.
But on the other hand, I have a much better understanding of what is involved in building a website that makes money. I already have other projects on the go (that are working out quite nicely and I have managed to reduce the time, amount of work etc considerably).
I think that my first site is maybe taking up room in my head and I would be better off clearing the space for new projects.
If I was to sell it - what do you think would be a good price. Hosting, domain, other web tools total around $300 per year (the site could be moved to a cheaper hosting platform).
