You could do what I did. I just stopped doing all my school work and pretty much anything school related, but still went just to hang out with my friends. That way I didn't leave anything behind, or have to deal with stressful stuff.
I have wanted to leave school on many an occasion, and a few of those times it was because I was very stressed. For a while, the pace of work in the classroom was just too fast and I could not keep up - and I felt like I was drowning because there was nothing I could do about it. Half way through that year we moved cities, and at my new school the pace turned out to be more sedate, and I started to do well.
In my last year at High School however, I had a lot going on. I was quite stressed about half-way through the year, I was struggling with the schoolwork again, but had so much other stuff on that I couldn't give my studies the extra time they required for me to catch up. A month or two later I realised something had to give, I couldn't carry on trying to do everything because it clearly wasn't working. I made my choice, and essentially gave up trying on my studies. I was a rather proud person back then, and did not want to ask others (teachers, parents, friends) for help, which I regret because now that I look back, studies was the one thing that counted most - after school, friendships drifted apart, extra-curricular activities went away and seemed rather pointless, but after High School because I didn't try with my studies I did not do well on my exams, and couldn't go to University like I would have liked. And stopping trying on my studies didn't solve anything either - I was still stressed, and I stuffed up my first year of Tertiary study because I still felt burnt out and stressed from the year before.
Unfortunately I think you might have got to the stage where something has to give, no matter what. You may regret the thought of leaving something behind, but is it worth jeopardizing your future for? I'm sure you'd really regret not having the future you wanted if you don't get it - I know I sure do. Whatever you do is your choice to make, but don't be afraid to ask those around you, especially your family, for help. They will help you through this, and help guide you with what decisions might be the best ones to take.

What the hell are you talking about??? School is awsome. There are sometimes when you don't want to go to school. I understand. My friends act like they are the boss of me but I never give a damn to what they say. I show them what I can do. you should do that too. DON'T QUIT SCHOOL!!! Without school, you will be really lonely.
I dropped out my senior year and I regreat it. I missed a lot of stuff that you get to do as a senior. lagoon, concerts, dances, graduation.

Should I quit school?
Send me Fun Mail
Lately I just want to quit school...of course not all together but I want to go to alternate school where I learn at my own pace instead of a classroom. I don't know why I think the whole aspect of friends, homework, sports, everything just stresses me out. But then if I do a alternative school program I miss out on sports and other things I don't know I just feel like I'll leave something behind and regret it.
