Should I just give up?

so this is going to be a long story but anyway, there is this guy that I like a lot and he says he likes me but he is still completely in love it his ex girlfriend even though she has moved on to another guy, my friend still hangs on to her like she is his lifeline. He talk me he would date me but he doesnt want to repeat his mistakes with me. I think thats just an excuse and we talked about that. he told me he was going to try to move on and get over her. He told me that he removed all of the things that remmind him of her out of his room and I believe him about that but he still kisses her all the time, I mean what the f*ck?! but anyway I was wondering... should I give up on him and move on, because he says he likes, no LOVES me but he still runs to her everytime!! and I honestly dont think he will ever change... should I move on and forget all about him?

yes, you should move on. he's obviously not ready to let his ex go. getting into a relationship where the guy is still in love with someone else, is doomed for disaster. you're both just going to end up hurt.

If he 'loved' you, he would be with you...simple as that!
