Yeah, you should listen to mandyloo. There are different types of Satanism with their own set of beliefs. Follow whatever religion makes the most sense to you and gives you the most peace of mind. Do some research and get your facts straight before you do anything. Don't feel pressured to 'belong' to any church. I don't think any religion has all the answers.

Join is you wish, but you would still be a part of the Christian faith, just the darker half. You might as well just be Christian. It's really pathetic.

I'm joing to take a shot in the dark here and guess why you are thinking of joining the Church of Satan. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Your parents are very religious and you are not. They have been trying to get you to go to church for some time but you refuse to go. They try to press their religion on you and you are getting frustrated so in a rebelious act you are going to join the Church of Satan.

Its spelled Satan... and he is the author of all that is evil and bad, if that truly is what you enjoy, why not, he will welcome you with open arms, however, I might warn you ahead of time, that he will keep you longer than you want to stay, and take you farther than you want to do, and it will cost you more than you want to pay. But, if after saying all that, you still choose, evil over good... go for it...

I agree with utopia, there are better ways of getting your parent's attentions. Like maybe speaking to them...or like she pointed out convert to judaism...now that will really anger them.
