Should I go out with someone 2.5 years older?

I would like to know if I should have a boyfriend who is 2 1/2 years older than I am but im 14 1/2 and in the 10th grade so should that make a differince or not?

p.s. he lives in a different state than me and my mom doesnt know that I have a boyfriend.

its up to you. I found my boyfriend online and across country but as england is a small place it was less than 100 miles away . I cant tell you what to do or not but whatever you do if you meet please take someone with you that you trust and tell your mum what you r doing, if you cant then atleast tell here where you are going and semi tell her what you are doing. or tell another adult your plans.
