Should i go or not?
Hi! I've known someone for about a year and during our relationship, I've always thought he had a little crush on me. He gets very nervous when he's around me in a way he's not like with anyone else; he has a nickname for me; he always touches me when...
he sees me, always gets a smile, and always seems to be looking in my direction. At one party, he even called me his future wife and asked someone if we made a cute couple or not. Is that just having fun or is he serious? However, he's never asked me out and I've found out he's been dating some other people for a brief period of time. Therefore, I've decided to forget about him, since he can obviously ask people out and it's perhaps not shyness that keeps him away, and move on looking for someone else who'll want to spend time with me. And I've been quite good at it which has in turn made me a little more comfortable with him.
However, recently at a party he basically walked by me (although he did touch me .. he touched me more than once at this party and didn't see him doing it someone else) and said he was going to talk to someone else. I made him stay and talk with me. Later in the night, he'll ask me TWO times if I'm going to watch him participate in a marathon. The second time, he seemed quite nervous about asking me. I would love to cheer for him and be there for him if there's some potential for a relationship and if he wants ME to cheer for HIM on his big day, but I also do not want to go out of my way, possibly be sleeping in a tent for someone who doesn't talk to me at a party except to say he's going to talk to someone else. Should I go and cheer for him or should I realize that I will be going out of my way for a friend who won't appreciate it in the long run? He didn't come to my birthday party even though he said he wanted to be there...I wonder if I'm getting enough from him even as a friend. He also bought me a drink at this party, but couldn't even bring it to me... he passed it to someone who passed it to someone and who gave it to me. UGGH!
So yeah, should I go and cheer him on or should I stay at home, sleep in and have brunch with friends? Is it possible that he likes me or is it we're just friends? Which will be fine.
Thanks!
