Should i get a tattoo?

Okay I've kind of been thinking of getting a Samoan or Japanese tattoo you know something ethnic and cultural...my mum says no but she has a tattoo covering her left hand..and all her family has tattoos also...my dad says NO! too...do you think I should...

get one and not tell them or tell them and get it either way...aww but I don't wanna disappoint them...awww...??

You should think about it for a year or two. Realize you would have the tattoo for the rest of your life anyway, so if you get it now or next year is not that big of a difference. If you still want the same tattoo after a year then go for it. If you've thought about changing it a few times over the year or feel undecided, keep waiting. I knew I wanted a mermaid tatoo when I was 13, when I was 18 I started looking around for people to draw me up one, even paying people for the drawings. I didn't find the right person who could draw what I wanted for another 4 years. Now I finally got my tatoo this year and I could not be happier with it, and I know I will never regret it.

The most important thing is to make sure you will not regret it. If you feel you might, give yourself more time.

Well id find a picture of what you want, tell them where you want it, and if they dont want you to get it yet just wait a little while and keep at them, they will come around... I wanted one done on my back and parents said no for ages! then one day I mentioned it and they got that annoyed of me mentionin it that they just let me get it done...

now I have my whole back tattooed in a japanese plant... lush!
