Should i date again?

Me in car Asked by nekta over 2 years ago, 3 answers.

I left my partner 3 months ago. We had been together for 5 years. Is is ok to date now? I'm not over him yet, I know that, but trying to. Would dating help, or complicate things more?

First of all, I would like to say I am truly sorry. I know that it is tough to let somone that special go. 5 years is a really long time. If it has been 3 months already, I would give it maybe one more month or so to start dating. Try match.com for now or some place like that to get to know someone first. You sure don't want to meet some guy at a bar, talk to him for one noght and then sleep with him. You may never see him again. People do say, that Internet dating is kind of scary and dangerous, but match.com is really safe. If you are under 19 I would try e-spin-the-bottle.com before I would an adult friend finder.

Starting a new relationship while you still carry baggage from your old relationship will not work. You need to start dating when you are completely over him and have no feelings left becos its not fair to date someone and have feeling for your ex, it gets you in all sorts of trouble so i think you should take some more time for yourself and more time to put your feelings about him to rest.
