DO what YOU want. For gods sake girls. It's OUR bodies. Girls on here are always asking should I shave MY pubes for guys? Errr. Why should you change yourself for lads? And no there are no benifits to having no pubes, either hygenically or physically. But hey if you want to look like a pornstar :/.
Reasons to not shave:
1. it itches like crazy.
2. those little red bumps are uglier than hair.
3. makes you look like a child
4. once you do it, you have to do it more regurally to produce the same effect.
5. you're sensitive 'down there' - chemicals in shaving foam and soap are great for changing the pH of your vagina - making it a great place for bacterica such as thrush.
6. ARGH - what if you slip ? :/
7. stubble isn't sexy - and it will be there after like a day.
8. Errr, it's there for a reason ?
9. barely anyone sees it.
10. what would your mother say ?

Men think it's disgusting to have pubes - FALSE. If they LOVE you, which they bloody well should if they are getting to see your vagina - they won't care. And I can promise you that, I've seen it. Plus they have pubes don't they? If they are so disgusting why do they have them ? Hmm.

My advice - trim it with scissor, much safer that way. And can still look neat without looking slutty.

The huge increase over the past 15 years of teen females shaving their pubes, is believed to be due to the easy access of porn over the internet.

Guys (and girls) watching porn see the actresses with shaved pubes and relate this to their sexual fantasies when they are having sex.

The only reason porn stars shave their pubes is because it makes their dicks look bigger and for the girls, their is no hair to block the close up camera shots.

Those are the only reasons in these cases.

It is an example of real life copying the media (porn movies and photos) rather than the media reflecting real life.

Back to your question, most younger guys (under 25) will often prefer shaved, those over 25 tend to have more preferences.

Some prefer shaved, some prefer a small landing strip, some prefer nicely trimmed and some even prefer the wild 'Bob Marley' look.

Its your body, I would suggest that you just do what you feel happy with but bear in mind, if you shave completely, you have to keep this up and put up with any rash or itching that occurs.

Finally, as for the people who just claim shaving it all off is more hygenic, I have never read any article which shows that there has been a decrease of any vaginal infections (due to 'unhygenic' pubic hair) over the past 15 years since shaving has become far more popular amongst the younger female population.

In fact, if anything, this has increased.

Its interesting that by far most of the pressure for totally shaved comes from the male population. Even when the advice to shave comes from females, it is often said that it is because, guys prefer it like this' and not because females prefer it.

There are SO many teen females out there just doing things to make their guy happy rather than concentrating on doing things to make each other happy. A relationship should always be be a two-way thing.

What I do sometimes get annoyed about regarding this type of question is those girls who are ONLY doing it for their guy and ignore the fact that it is their body and they have choices.

I think girls should shave down their. but it really depends on what your planning on doing I mean if your boyfriend is going to eat you out I suggest you to shave cause im pretty shure they dont want pubs in their mouth.
but if your just planning on going staight to sex then I guess you wouldnt have to but its like the first girl said its your body do what you want.

toymachine9786, if you really knew how to do oral sex on a girl properly and gently tease open their vaginal lips with your fingers, you would not get pubes in your mouth.

But then most teen guys only THINK they are great at sex and know it all and these are by far the majority of people who prefer women to shave down below.

Too much influence form porn where women shave ONLY to make the close up shots 'more exciting' for guys.

A woman should not shave down below just to please their guy or from influence for porn movies. They should only do it for themselves.

As I have said before, in my opinion, only young, pre-teen children are naturally bald down below.
