Shaving

Asked by fau 10 months ago, 7 answers.

I am 14 years old now, and I have been shaving since late gr 7 especially up around my upper lip area, I just wanted to know is this going to have a bad affect on my down the road if I continue to shave about once a week there?

nah it shouldnt do, worst you could get is ingrown hairs which can be quite unpleasant, in which case waxing could be a suitable option as it last longer and no ingrown hairs happy

no I don't think it would, if you have dark hair then maybe you should shave your entire face area, I only have to shave under my chin like every month or so before it really starts to show up.

the hairs get thicker.
Don't shave the upper hair you'll get a 5 o'clock shadow. Burn it off. It grows back lighter it takes longer to grow back. It doesn't hurt, it actually tickles.

Being a woman with really dark hair I know what you are going thru. Right now the cheapest and easiest way to take care of it is to use Nair for the face. Don't buy the regular stuff for legs, it is way to harsh and may give you a rash. A home waxing kit is pretty good too but you need to practice with it a little on your leg so you dont cause yourself to much pain.

Shaving does not make it grow back thicker. What happens is the razor cuts the hair at an angle and as it grows back it is just more visible because of the slant that was cut by the razor.
