Setting up adsense

Asked by pamt over 2 years ago, 8 answers.

How do you set up the adsense for this site? It says enter your code, I used the help link because every site is different. I followed the help to the letter, and got a page with a long dissertation of errors that I don't understand.

Hi there did you enter your adsense publisher ID here?
http://www.funadvice.com/syndicate

The how to page here contains a pretty good tutorial:

Was the error on FunAdvice? If so, can you please use our contact form here:

To send us a message.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, out of curiosity, I tried signing up just now as well. It worked fine for a IE browser on Win XP. Are you using a different operating system or browser type? It worked for me in Firefox too...

thedude is very helpful - so is esconsult1, the programmer behind the site. Use the contact form one of them will usually reply in a few hours.

I looked at the how to first... followed the instructions and got an error message. I tried entering my adsense code, and got another error. I just entered it again, and it didn't say one way or another if it worked. So, I guess when I have another question, I'll find out. Oh, and I am using IE.

What was the error message? Can you copy / paste into this discussion for me to take a look at fix?

Thanks.

Hi again pamt-

I looked into the access log found the problem. Your adsense code was entered as ca-pub-$number. For now, you just need to enter the publisher number, which I did manually in the database.

So, all you have to do now to start earning money from the adsense ads on funadvice is to ask questions happy (ideally, more than just this one - lol).

Best,

thedude
