Expecting period during bahamas trip

I am going to the bahamas om saturday (today is thursday) and I'm expectin my period anyday now and everytime I try putting a tampon in it feels so uncomfortable and like it is going to fall out. I love swimming but I dont know WHAT to do,,, HELP

a tampon will feel weird the first few times
you get used to it, and it wont fall out unless you dont have it in right
make sure you stick it up as far as it will go (to the beginning of the larger part of the applicator). it still feels weird the first few minutes I have it in, just try to move around after you put it in and it should become unnoticable

you should not feel your tampon if inserted properly so you doing it wrong

the vaginal canal actualy bends a bit to the side so try feeling around with your finger first to see which direction you have to put it in
