Of coarse you would be nervous. The pain last a couple seconds and is a slight pinch. It will be a tender area and saline solution will be your best friend for a while. It is not that bad at all. Go to the shop take a deep breath, try to remain calm, and most of all think of how proud you will be of yourself getting it done after being so nervous. And remember to tip your piercer! And do not listen to people who comment on what they think instead of giving actual advice.
Piercings and other forms of body art are becoming more popular and businesses are beginning to accept it more, You'll do fine in finding a job and if you don't it's because of the economy, not your appearance. You won't look like a bull either unless you wear a ball and captive bead ring. I think you should go for it. =P I hope you do.
Are you really that close minded to call someone who wants a piercing pathetic?
I have the monroe,tongue,navel,3 industrials, nose, cartilage, and lobes pierced. My lobes are stretched to 3/4 or 19mm which ever unit of measurement you want to go by. Does this mean my life is pathetic? You might want to re-think your life. If you're so above everyone what are you doing here? Telling someone they will be on welfare because of a piercing? Im not on welfare and I have 10. I will have 16 when im finished so there goes that theory.
Good luck with your piercing, have fun =P
It'll be fine... don't worry. The pain will depend on how your pain tolerance is. It's not going to be unbearable so don't be scared. It only takes a few seconds, so it'll be done before you know it. Don't even think about it - think of something else while it's being done. As long as you have it done professionally and take care of it, it'll be just fine. They don't make you any more or less attractive than you already are. And you CAN still get a job if you have them too so if anyone says otherwise, they're wrong.
If they do... then they're stupid. Your NOT a freak of nature just because you have piercings. If someone thinks that they need to stop being such a preppy/judgemental jackass. It's NO ONE else's business but the person with the piercing. If someone doesn't like piercings, oh well. But they don't need to judge people who DO have them.
wtf is so called lovely lady on about?
I have over 20 piercings and noone has ever looked at me liek im a freak
most people I meet are merely interested and inspired so clearly you move in very narrow minded circles if that is what you think
I love my septum piercing btw
and if you build yourself up to pain then it seems a lot worse youll be fine when you get it done
