Sending cigarettes in the mail.

So I've heard some mixed opinions on this.
Is it legal to send like, 2 packages of cigarettes in the mail across the united states?

I'd probably phone the postal service and ask...as if it's *not* and you do, (or your parents do) it could be a federal crime.

I doubt it, its not drugs, so whats the problem, and how do they know what your sending if its in a box? they are certainly cheaper in georgia

It's a legal substance...so no, it's not illegal. People get cigs thru the mail all the time. What IS illegal, tho...is the taxes they aren't paying on them in their own state.

I'd say it's probably legal. I mean it's not like your sending illegal drugs through the mail. But like thedude said, your best bet would be to call your local post office and ask them. If it wasn't legal and you did it and were caught, you could get yourself into some serious trouble.
